Beautiful senior photography, that celebrates you, your youth, spirit and will make you feel and look and feel amazing. Ladies, I have a few great make-up artists ready to spoil you.
Now the fun part, styling your shoot. You have the option to bring several outfit changes, I know it can be overwhelming to know where to begin planning your clothing choices - this guide will help you on your styling journey.
I want you to be comfortable and authentic to yourself. If not it will show in your expression (and that’s not a good thing!) Don’t be influenced by what you see your friends wearing or all those trendy Instagram accounts. Stick with your own style so you can be comfortable and confident, which will result in authentic beautiful images that scream - you! This is not the time to re-invent your style. I want you in your “dance around your room clothes” - You know the outfit!
Select outfits that vary in level of dressiness. Mix it up with both dressy and casual attire. Variety is so nice in your finished gallery. If you come with 5 shorts and t-shirts, all your photos tend to look almost the same. Instead, find several outfits that look like you dressed for different occasions.
Ladies - At least one long dress with movement is so fun to photograph. We can twirl and spin, movement in photographing creates emotion and life to your images.
Men - Classic & Timeless: Good ideas include: A button up and jeans, polo and shorts, casual tee shirt and jeans and/or shorts, and solid colors. Avoid: t shirts with graphics and logos. Some men rock a tailored suit and if that’s your style - bring it!
A senior session is a right of passage, a coming of age ritual. The goal is to snapshot your personality, your adult body and of course your style. Trends will change as the years roll on, but how fun will it be to look back at these images in 20 years and giggle how good (and hot) you looked in (high waters, chevron, crop tops, a perm, skinny jeans… you get the jist) - Trend it up, have fun, this session is all personality!
Bring accessories that are integral to you, let’s showcase what represent you in your teen years. A few props mu seniors have used over the years
5 - What not to wear!
Our eyes can make sense of crazy patterns, but the camera sometimes freaks out and creates what’s know as a Moire pattern and it looks strange. Most patterned clothing is ok to wear, however, steer clear from the tiny small patterns, tiny dots, or little stripes - no good.
Neon colors - can color cast on your face - no good.
Wrinkled clothes - duh!
I’m always available to give you my advice, text me options, let’s zoom call - I’m here to help you!
